Disney Wonder - March 22, 2011
Rebecca Coriam, 24, from the United Kingdom was sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line's Disney Wonder on March 22, 2011, but never disembarked. Her parents say they there is evidence she is still alive. They believe she has been kidnapped.

Coriam, from Chester, Cheshire in the United Kingdom, worked aboard Disney Cruise Line's Disney Wonder as a Youth Activities crew member for a year before she went missing in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. The Mexican Navy launched a search for Coriam.

Coriam was a graduate of Chester Catholic High School, the University of Plymouth where she studied Sports Science & Coaching, graduating in 2007 and Coriam studied Childhood and Youth Studies, Theology and Philosophy at Liverpool Hope University in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK.

Her family last saw her about six weeks prior when she flew home for her grand-father's funeral. They had also been in continual contact with her via Skype and Facebook.

A spokesperson for Disney Cruises said: "We have also conducted a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the ship and spoken with the crew member's colleagues to gather as much information as possible."

An investigation by Interpol and Bahamas Maritime Authority is underway. Though the ship sailed out of an American port, because it's registered in the Bahamas, was in international waters and the victims was a British citizen, it's not expected the FBI will be involved with their own investigation.

However, because the ship sailed out of an American port and would be returning short one person, the United States Coast Guard was notified.

Coriam's parents say her credit card was used, days after she disappeared. A major British bank has contacted the family, more than seven weeks after she disappeared, reporting ‘financial activity’ on her account on April 19. Investigators are trying to track down who actually used the credit card and what activity was taking place.

Disney Wonder had left Los Angeles, California around 1700 hours on Sunday, March 20, 2011 en route to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ship was schedule to arrive at Puerto Vallarta on Wednesday, March 23 at 0700 hours and stay until 1930 hours. When the ship arrived, a search of the vessel indicated that Ms Coriam was not aboard.

Disney Wonder sailed onto Mazatlan the next day, then onto Cabo San Lucas, before heading back to Los Angeles. The cruise ship is due back in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 27 at 0800 hours.
